Description
Two drums, one above the other: a wide cylinder of rattan cane, framed at top and bottom by a solid band, and a smaller drum that drops below it. The cane has a regular six-sided weave that lets light through in a scatter of tiny points.
The Otranto rattan cane pendant light is named after the easternmost town in Italy, in the region of Puglia, whose cathedral holds a vast floor mosaic built on a repeating pattern.
Switch it on and it does two things at once. Sideways, it throws a fine grid of light points onto the walls. Below, the second drum focuses a clear beam down onto the table. You get soft, textured ambient light and useful task light from a single fixture, and the room feels warm without feeling dim.
A drum-shaped cane pendant in three sizes and two colors
Three diameters, from 16" to 24" (40 to 60 cm), with heights from 9" to 13" (22 to 34 cm) depending on size, cover a round table, a dining table or a kitchen island, where two 16" drums in a row work well. The bands come in two finishes. Brown stays close to the rattan and softens the whole piece, while black underlines the geometry and contrasts with the pale fiber.

A rattan cane pendant light for modern and boho interiors
Rattan cane, woven in an open grid, is the same material you find on the backs of classic Vienna bistro chairs. This pendant sits well with light wood, travertine, polished concrete and limewashed walls. The brown version suits warm, relaxed rooms, and the black one works particularly well in a more graphic interior. In a bedroom or an entryway, the focused beam keeps the light where you need it.
Because the fiber is natural, the tone of the cane varies slightly from one piece to the next.

Hanging height & installation
Over a dining table, leave 30 to 34 inches between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Over a kitchen island, 30 to 36 inches. With nothing below, keep at least 7 feet of clearance.
The light connects to a standard ceiling junction box like any fixture. If you are not comfortable with wiring, a licensed electrician will install it quickly.

How do I choose the right size?
Over a dining table, pick a shade about half to two thirds the width of the table. Over an island, two or three smaller shades usually look better than one large one. Send us your measurements and we will tell you which size fits.
Is the bulb included?
No, so you can choose your own warmth. Most designs take a standard medium base E26 bulb; the socket is listed under Materials & dimensions. A warm white LED around 2700 K brings out the weave and the stone.
Will it work with US wiring?
Yes. It is wired for 110-120 V, the US standard, and connects to a regular ceiling junction box.
Can I mix designs in a pair or a trio?

Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close, not identical. Rattan, rope and stone are natural materials, so the weave, the veins and the tone vary slightly from one piece to the next.
