Description
A wide, low dome of rattan topped with a conical wooden cap that shows its grain. The rattan canes run in parallel lines from the cap down to a flared base, then cross into a tighter weave around the lower rim. Even switched off, you can see the bulb through the regular gaps between the strands.
The Milos rattan pendant light is named after Milos, a Greek island in the Cyclades where fishermen's hats and rush baskets once shared this same flat, wide outline.
Switch it on and the light escapes through the openings in the weave, throwing a radiating pattern across the ceiling and the nearby walls. The rattan warms as the light passes through it and turns almost golden. The wooden cap stays crisp and architectural above the softer fibers. The shape draws the eye across the room without taking over its height.

A natural rattan pendant light for warm Mediterranean and Japandi rooms
Rattan is a climbing palm, and its supple canes let light through in small, uneven points instead of one flat glow. Paired with the wooden cap, it brings two plain natural materials together. The beige version keeps the blond tone of the rattan with a light wood cap, for bright, coastal or Scandinavian rooms. The black version turns the canes matte black against a dark wood cap, which shows the regular weave even more clearly and suits a more modern, slightly industrial kitchen or bedroom.
The rattan keeps its small irregularities and the wood keeps its grain, so each piece is slightly different.

Hanging height & installation
Over a dining table, leave 30 to 34 inches between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Over a kitchen island, 30 to 36 inches. With nothing below, keep at least 7 feet of clearance.
The light connects to a standard ceiling junction box like any fixture. If you are not comfortable with wiring, a licensed electrician will install it quickly.

How do I choose the right size?
Over a dining table, pick a shade about half to two thirds the width of the table. Over an island, two or three smaller shades usually look better than one large one. Send us your measurements and we will tell you which size fits.
Is the bulb included?
No, so you can choose your own warmth. Most designs take a standard medium base E26 bulb; the socket is listed under Materials & dimensions. A warm white LED around 2700 K brings out the weave and the stone.
Will it work with US wiring?
Yes. It is wired for 110-120 V, the US standard, and connects to a regular ceiling junction box.
Can I mix designs in a pair or a trio?
Yes. Choose Pair or Trio, then add any designs and sizes you like: the discount counts every light in your cart.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close, not identical. Rattan, rope and stone are natural materials, so the weave, the veins and the tone vary slightly from one piece to the next.
