Description
Six petals of rattan cord, coiled into a tight spiral and ribbed like palm leaves, curve around a brass center. Three lift upward and three dip down, so the flower is never quite symmetrical. It is wide and flat, with the presence of a large botanical sculpture on the ceiling.
The Cefalu rattan flower pendant light is named after Cefalu, a Sicilian seaside town tucked beneath a huge rock headland, whose Norman cathedral holds glowing gold mosaics.
Switch it on and the light starts at the center and travels up the ribs of each petal, picking them out one by one. The ceiling receives a pattern of spread palm fronds that reaches far beyond the fixture itself. The natural rattan glows sunny and warm. In black, only the ribs catch the light, for a more graphic look.
A 24-inch rattan flower pendant for dining tables and entryways
At 24" across and 8" tall (60 x 20 cm), this rattan flower pendant light is wide and flat: it fills the space without hanging low. That makes it work over a dining table as well as in an entryway or a living room, even when the ceiling is not very high. Over a table, hang it so the petals sit about 30 to 36 inches above the top.

A natural fiber flower pendant for sunny Mediterranean interiors
The rattan cord is coiled rib by rib, which makes this light as decorative as it is useful: switched off, it stays a sculpture of leaves overhead. Natural is warm and sunny. Black is more graphic and reads well against white walls or a kitchen with pale cabinets. It pairs with travertine, raw wood, terracotta floor tiles and limewashed walls, in a Mediterranean, coastal or boho room.
Each petal is shaped by hand, so the tilt of the flower differs slightly from one piece to the next.

Hanging height & installation
Over a dining table, leave 30 to 34 inches between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Over a kitchen island, 30 to 36 inches. With nothing below, keep at least 7 feet of clearance.
The light connects to a standard ceiling junction box like any fixture. If you are not comfortable with wiring, a licensed electrician will install it quickly.

How do I choose the right size?
Over a dining table, pick a shade about half to two thirds the width of the table. Over an island, two or three smaller shades usually look better than one large one. Send us your measurements and we will tell you which size fits.
Is the bulb included?
No, so you can choose your own warmth. Most designs take a standard medium base E26 bulb; the socket is listed under Materials & dimensions. A warm white LED around 2700 K brings out the weave and the stone.
Will it work with US wiring?
Yes. It is wired for 110-120 V, the US standard, and connects to a regular ceiling junction box.
Can I mix designs in a pair or a trio?
Yes. Choose Pair or Trio, then add any designs and sizes you like: the discount counts every light in your cart.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close, not identical. Rattan, rope and stone are natural materials, so the weave, the veins and the tone vary slightly from one piece to the next.
