Description
A cream travertine tube, 2" across, cut with walls thin enough to let the light through. Fine striations run along its height, and small natural cavities dot the surface. The fabric cord stays in the same family of pale tones as the stone.
The Camarina travertine tube pendant light is named after Camarina, an ancient Greek city on the south coast of Sicily, built on a plateau of pale stone between two rivers.
This is where it differs from a solid stone shade. Once lit, the travertine turns from matte beige to a warm orange glow, crossed by darker veins, and the cavities shine brighter in places along the whole tube. A beam still drops from the open bottom onto the surface below. Think of it as mood lighting, a glowing object in your room, rather than the main light source.
A slim, glowing travertine pendant in two heights
The tube is 2" in diameter (6 cm) and comes 10" or 14" tall (25 or 35 cm). The 10" size fits above a nightstand or a console table, while the 14" size holds its own under a living room ceiling or over a kitchen island. Both work well repeated, either aligned at one height or staggered for a looser rhythm.

A natural stone pendant light for Japandi and minimal interiors
Travertine is a soft, porous limestone, and in a thin wall its veins and pores show up the moment light passes behind them. This travertine tube pendant light pairs naturally with light wood, washed linen, mineral plaster and pale stoneware. It brings a slow, glowing warmth to a bedroom, a reading corner or a Japandi dining space, especially after dark, when the rest of the room is dim.
As the stone is natural, every tube has its own striations and cavities, so the glow changes from one piece to the next.

Hanging height & installation
Over a dining table, leave 30 to 34 inches between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Over a kitchen island, 30 to 36 inches. With nothing below, keep at least 7 feet of clearance.
The light connects to a standard ceiling junction box like any fixture. If you are not comfortable with wiring, a licensed electrician will install it quickly.

The material
Travertine, no two blocks alike
Each block keeps its own pores and tones. The cavities are not flaws: they are the marks of a limestone formed by mineral springs.
- Origin
- Natural limestone formed by mineral springs
- Light
- Dense: it sends the light down in a focused pool
- Care
- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water and acidic cleaners.

7 ft+
20-24"
60-66"
The height decides everything. Hang a pendant too high and it behaves like a ceiling light. Bring it down to the right height and it gathers people around the table, frames the bed and gives a kitchen its rhythm. Pick where yours will hang.
30 to 34"
Between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Low enough to feel intimate, high enough to see across the table.
30 to 36"
Above the countertop. In a row of two or three, leave 24 to 30 inches between shades.
7 ft +
From the floor to the bottom of the shade when nothing sits below. Over a coffee table, you can come lower.
7 ft +
From the floor, for a central light. A wide, soft shade keeps the light gentle at night.
20 to 24"
Above the nightstand. It replaces a table lamp and frees up the surface.
60 to 66"
From the floor, one on each side of the mirror, around eye level.
Questions
Before you order
Anything else about this light, write to us. We reply within one business day.
How do I choose the right size?
Over a dining table, pick a shade about half to two thirds the width of the table. Over an island, two or three smaller shades usually look better than one large one. Send us your measurements and we will tell you which size fits.
Is the bulb included?
No, so you can choose your own warmth. Most designs take a standard medium base E26 bulb; the socket is listed under Materials & dimensions. A warm white LED around 2700 K brings out the weave and the stone.
Will it work with US wiring?
Yes. It is wired for 110-120 V, the US standard, and connects to a regular ceiling junction box.
Can I mix designs in a pair or a trio?
Yes. Choose Pair or Trio, then add any designs and sizes you like: the discount counts every light in your cart.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close, not identical. Rattan, rope and stone are natural materials, so the weave, the veins and the tone vary slightly from one piece to the next.
