Description
A pebble of polished marble, topped with a ball of polished metal that connects it to the cord. No visible frame and no band: just two shapes, one resting on the other. A stone and a mirror.
The Metaponto marble pendant light is named after Metaponto, a Greek city on the Gulf of Taranto in southern Italy, where columns of pale stone still stand in the middle of the fields.
Switch it on and the stone glows through its finest veins, turning amber, while the metal ball catches the light as a bright reflection. Most of the light leaves through the base, laying a warm halo on the table. It is mood lighting, an accent rather than the main light in your room.
A low marble pebble pendant for tables, islands and low ceilings
It comes in one size, 6" wide (15 cm). The wide, flat shape hangs low above a coffee table, the end of a counter or a nightstand, and its short height makes it easy to live with under a low ceiling. It shows best in a row of 3 along a kitchen island, evenly spaced. Leave a little more room between each pebble than you would with a slim tube, so every halo has space on the counter.

Hanging height & installation
Over a dining table, leave 30 to 34 inches between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Over a kitchen island, 30 to 36 inches. With nothing below, keep at least 7 feet of clearance.
The light connects to a standard ceiling junction box like any fixture. If you are not comfortable with wiring, a licensed electrician will install it quickly.

How do I choose the right size?
Over a dining table, pick a shade about half to two thirds the width of the table. Over an island, two or three smaller shades usually look better than one large one. Send us your measurements and we will tell you which size fits.
Is the bulb included?
No, so you can choose your own warmth. Most designs take a standard medium base E26 bulb; the socket is listed under Materials & dimensions. A warm white LED around 2700 K brings out the weave and the stone.
Will it work with US wiring?
Yes. It is wired for 110-120 V, the US standard, and connects to a regular ceiling junction box.
Can I mix designs in a pair or a trio?
Yes. Choose Pair or Trio, then add any designs and sizes you like: the discount counts every light in your cart.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close, not identical. Rattan, rope and stone are natural materials, so the weave, the veins and the tone vary slightly from one piece to the next.
