Description
Two marble drums stacked one above the other, the wider one at the bottom, both cut from the same stone. The stepped outline holds the light at each level and lets it go through the base. The veining runs across both tiers.
The Heraclea marble pendant light is named after Heraclea, a Greek city on the Gulf of Taranto in southern Italy, whose quarries supplied stone for the temples of the region.
Once lit, the stone glows through its thinnest areas and lays a warm halo just beneath. Each tier lights up a little differently, so the shape keeps its depth after dark. The light is gentle and close. It is mood lighting, an accent for a corner, a bedside or a counter rather than general lighting.
A tiered marble pendant for nightstands, entryways and kitchen islands
It comes in one size, 5" wide and 5" tall (13 x 12 cm). The short, wide shape sits above a nightstand, an entryway console or the end of a counter without crowding the eye. In a row of 2 or 3 along a kitchen island, the repeated tiers draw a steady line. Because it is only 5" tall, it also works well under a lower ceiling, where a long pendant would hang too low.

Hanging height & installation
Over a dining table, leave 30 to 34 inches between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Over a kitchen island, 30 to 36 inches. With nothing below, keep at least 7 feet of clearance.
The light connects to a standard ceiling junction box like any fixture. If you are not comfortable with wiring, a licensed electrician will install it quickly.

How do I choose the right size?
Over a dining table, pick a shade about half to two thirds the width of the table. Over an island, two or three smaller shades usually look better than one large one. Send us your measurements and we will tell you which size fits.
Is the bulb included?
No, so you can choose your own warmth. Most designs take a standard medium base E26 bulb; the socket is listed under Materials & dimensions. A warm white LED around 2700 K brings out the weave and the stone.
Will it work with US wiring?
Yes. It is wired for 110-120 V, the US standard, and connects to a regular ceiling junction box.
Can I mix designs in a pair or a trio?
Yes. Choose Pair or Trio, then add any designs and sizes you like: the discount counts every light in your cart.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close, not identical. Rattan, rope and stone are natural materials, so the weave, the veins and the tone vary slightly from one piece to the next.
