A slim, elongated tube of raw travertine topped with a smooth dome of turned dark wood. The stone, dotted with small natural cavities, makes up most of the height, while the rounded wood cap closes the shape with a clean curve. The silhouette is vertical and architectural, close to a suspended spotlight.

The Terracina travertine cylinder pendant light is named after Terracina, an ancient coastal town south of Rome, where a temple to Jupiter once stood high on the cliff above the sea.

When the bulb is on, the light leaves through the bottom of the tube in a sharp, focused beam, much like a spot. It lands on the counter or the table and stays there, so the surface glows while the room around it stays soft. Because each pendant is so narrow, you can add several points of light without filling the view. Late dinners and evening kitchen prep both feel calmer under it.

Over a dining table, leave 30 to 34 inches between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Over a kitchen island, 30 to 36 inches. With nothing below, keep at least 7 feet of clearance.

The light connects to a standard ceiling junction box like any fixture. If you are not comfortable with wiring, a licensed electrician will install it quickly.
