Description
Two bloom-shaped shades of jute rope, wound strand against strand over a fine frame, stack one above the other, slightly offset. Their edges wave freely, never twice the same way, like a broad leaf that curled as it dried. The thin cord lets the whole piece float in the air.
The Naxos jute rope pendant light is named after Naxos, the largest of Greece's Cyclades islands, a place of orchards and fig trees whose broad leaves overlap in layers, much like the two tiers of this shade.
Switch it on and the light falls in a tight circle under the lower bloom, while the upper one lets it escape in fine combed lines between the strands. The nearby wall picks up the wavy outline of the shade, larger and softer. The jute warms to a honey tone. The effect is gentle and layered rather than bright.
A double bloom jute pendant in four sizes, from 12 to 24 inches
It comes 12", 16", 20" and 24" wide (30, 40, 50 and 60 cm). The 12" hangs over a nightstand or in a row down an entryway, the 16" suits a round table or a reading corner, and the 20" holds its own above a dining table. The 24" becomes the centerpiece over a kitchen island or in a room with a high ceiling.

A natural rope pendant light for boho and Japandi interiors
Jute rope keeps its visible fibers and its shifts in tone, from sand to honey depending on the light. It pairs with limewashed walls, terracotta tiles, travertine, washed linen and raw wood. Hung as a pair over an island or on each side of a bed, this jute rope pendant light sets up a soft symmetry that the hand-wound rope always nudges slightly off. In a living room, a single large one marks out the seating area.
Each shade is wound by hand, so the wave of the edges differs from one piece to the next.

Hanging height & installation
Over a dining table, leave 30 to 34 inches between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Over a kitchen island, 30 to 36 inches. With nothing below, keep at least 7 feet of clearance.
The light connects to a standard ceiling junction box like any fixture. If you are not comfortable with wiring, a licensed electrician will install it quickly.

7 ft+
20-24"
60-66"
The height decides everything. Hang a pendant too high and it behaves like a ceiling light. Bring it down to the right height and it gathers people around the table, frames the bed and gives a kitchen its rhythm. Pick where yours will hang.
30 to 34"
Between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Low enough to feel intimate, high enough to see across the table.
30 to 36"
Above the countertop. In a row of two or three, leave 24 to 30 inches between shades.
7 ft +
From the floor to the bottom of the shade when nothing sits below. Over a coffee table, you can come lower.
7 ft +
From the floor, for a central light. A wide, soft shade keeps the light gentle at night.
20 to 24"
Above the nightstand. It replaces a table lamp and frees up the surface.
60 to 66"
From the floor, one on each side of the mirror, around eye level.
Questions
Before you order
Anything else about this light, write to us. We reply within one business day.
How do I choose the right size?
Over a dining table, pick a shade about half to two thirds the width of the table. Over an island, two or three smaller shades usually look better than one large one. Send us your measurements and we will tell you which size fits.
Is the bulb included?
No, so you can choose your own warmth. Most designs take a standard medium base E26 bulb; the socket is listed under Materials & dimensions. A warm white LED around 2700 K brings out the weave and the stone.
Will it work with US wiring?
Yes. It is wired for 110-120 V, the US standard, and connects to a regular ceiling junction box.
Can I mix designs in a pair or a trio?
Yes. Choose Pair or Trio, then add any designs and sizes you like: the discount counts every light in your cart.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close, not identical. Rattan, rope and stone are natural materials, so the weave, the veins and the tone vary slightly from one piece to the next.
