Description
A large drum of beige fabric, and beneath it a second, narrower drum that drops down at the center. The light is caught twice: once by the outer fabric, then again by the inner drum, which sends it downward. Two simple shapes that make one deeper silhouette.
The Positano fabric pendant light is named after Positano, the village on Italy's Amalfi Coast whose ochre houses step down the hillside to the sea.
Once lit, the wide outer drum gives a broad, enveloping light, and the smaller drum adds a more focused beam below. Nothing glares: you never see the bulb, from any angle. The fabric glows evenly, and the table under it gets a clear pool of light.
A double drum fabric pendant from 16" to 24" wide
It comes in three sizes: 16", 20" and 24" wide (40, 50 and 60 cm), from 14" to 20" tall (35 to 50 cm) depending on the size. The 16" suits a reading corner, a console or the end of a counter, and the 20" covers a round table. The 24" takes care of a full dining table, and its 20" (50 cm) height gives it real presence in the room.

A beige fabric pendant light for warm, simple interiors
The beige fabric keeps its visible weave and small slubs, which show as soon as the light passes through. The double construction avoids the flat look of a plain drum shade. This fabric pendant light pairs with raw wood, travertine, limewashed walls and natural textiles, in a contemporary, farmhouse or Japandi dining room, living room or bedroom.
The fabric keeps its small slubs and irregular weave, so each shade looks slightly different under the light.

Hanging height & installation
Over a dining table, leave 30 to 34 inches between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Over a kitchen island, 30 to 36 inches. With nothing below, keep at least 7 feet of clearance.
The light connects to a standard ceiling junction box like any fixture. If you are not comfortable with wiring, a licensed electrician will install it quickly.

7 ft+
20-24"
60-66"
The height decides everything. Hang a pendant too high and it behaves like a ceiling light. Bring it down to the right height and it gathers people around the table, frames the bed and gives a kitchen its rhythm. Pick where yours will hang.
30 to 34"
Between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Low enough to feel intimate, high enough to see across the table.
30 to 36"
Above the countertop. In a row of two or three, leave 24 to 30 inches between shades.
7 ft +
From the floor to the bottom of the shade when nothing sits below. Over a coffee table, you can come lower.
7 ft +
From the floor, for a central light. A wide, soft shade keeps the light gentle at night.
20 to 24"
Above the nightstand. It replaces a table lamp and frees up the surface.
60 to 66"
From the floor, one on each side of the mirror, around eye level.
Questions
Before you order
Anything else about this light, write to us. We reply within one business day.
How do I choose the right size?
Over a dining table, pick a shade about half to two thirds the width of the table. Over an island, two or three smaller shades usually look better than one large one. Send us your measurements and we will tell you which size fits.
Is the bulb included?
No, so you can choose your own warmth. Most designs take a standard medium base E26 bulb; the socket is listed under Materials & dimensions. A warm white LED around 2700 K brings out the weave and the stone.
Will it work with US wiring?
Yes. It is wired for 110-120 V, the US standard, and connects to a regular ceiling junction box.
Can I mix designs in a pair or a trio?
Yes. Choose Pair or Trio, then add any designs and sizes you like: the discount counts every light in your cart.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close, not identical. Rattan, rope and stone are natural materials, so the weave, the veins and the tone vary slightly from one piece to the next.
What if it arrives damaged?
