Thin rattan vines, wound and crossed with no repeating pattern, tangle into an almost perfect sphere. Unlike a regular weave, each strand follows its own path, creating a dense, random mesh that recalls a bird's nest or a ball of plant fiber. The neat round shape contrasts with the free texture of its surface.

The Sifnos rattan pendant light is named after a Greek island in the Cyclades known since antiquity for its potters and fine clay, a patient craft echoed here in wound rattan.

Switch it on and the light slips through the random mesh, casting fine, irregular shadows on the walls, like tangled branches. The beige fiber glows warm around the bulb. In your room, the globe holds as much interest switched off as it does switched on. The shadows shift as you move around it.

Over a dining table, leave 30 to 34 inches between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Over a kitchen island, 30 to 36 inches. With nothing below, keep at least 7 feet of clearance.
