Description
A narrow tube of natural marble in a honey tone, set top and bottom in two rings of brushed brass. The stone runs the full 12" between them, smooth and veined. The proportions are tall and slender, a column in miniature at the end of a fine cord.
The Gela marble pendant light is named after Gela, a Greek city on the south coast of Sicily, founded by settlers from Rhodes and facing the sea toward Africa.
Switch it on and the whole column lights from the inside. Pale waves appear in the stone, moving up and down its length. The brass rings catch the glow and send back a warm reflection at each end. It is mood lighting, a soft accent that sets the tone of the room rather than lighting all of it.
A narrow marble and brass pendant for nightstands, consoles and islands
It comes in one size, 2" wide and 12" tall (6 x 30 cm). Hang one on each side of a headboard, above an entryway console or along a hallway. Hung low over a kitchen island in a row of 2 or 3, it marks the line of the counter without blocking your view across the room.

Hanging height & installation
Over a dining table, leave 30 to 34 inches between the tabletop and the bottom of the shade. Over a kitchen island, 30 to 36 inches. With nothing below, keep at least 7 feet of clearance.
The light connects to a standard ceiling junction box like any fixture. If you are not comfortable with wiring, a licensed electrician will install it quickly.

How do I choose the right size?
Over a dining table, pick a shade about half to two thirds the width of the table. Over an island, two or three smaller shades usually look better than one large one. Send us your measurements and we will tell you which size fits.
Is the bulb included?
No, so you can choose your own warmth. Most designs take a standard medium base E26 bulb; the socket is listed under Materials & dimensions. A warm white LED around 2700 K brings out the weave and the stone.
Will it work with US wiring?
Yes. It is wired for 110-120 V, the US standard, and connects to a regular ceiling junction box.
Can I mix designs in a pair or a trio?
Yes. Choose Pair or Trio, then add any designs and sizes you like: the discount counts every light in your cart.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Very close, not identical. Rattan, rope and stone are natural materials, so the weave, the veins and the tone vary slightly from one piece to the next.
