Each petal is held by a thin black metal rim and bends slightly downward, like the moment a flower opens all the way. The black frame traces the outline of every petal without taking over the pale fiber.

The Kore abaca pendant light is named after Kore, another name for Persephone in Greek mythology, the goddess of spring whose return each year brings the flowers back.

When the bulb is on, the light passes through the abaca and lights each petal from within, with a soft, enveloping glow. Seen from below, the flower shows a bright heart at the center, while the black rims draw a crisp line around each petal. In a bedroom or a living room, it looks like a flower hanging in full bloom.

An abaca flower pendant, 14" wide, for bedside and reading corners

At 14" wide (35 cm), this pendant reads as a real piece, not just a small accent light. Hung above a nightstand in place of a table lamp, it frees up the surface and gives you a soft, local light. As a pair on each side of a bed, it frames the headboard with warm, balanced light.

Want to compare it with other shapes and materials? It is finer and smoother than basketry, and it brings a soft, botanical touch that strictly geometric shades do not. This abaca pendant light suits a beige and cream bedroom, washed linen bedding, an arched niche or a rounded headboard. In a boho living room or an entryway, it sits well next to a potted olive tree, dried flowers or textured ceramics.

The abaca keeps its natural variations of tone and weave from petal to petal, so each shade is slightly different.

Materials & dimensions

Material: Abaca
Diameter: 14" (35 cm)
Color: Beige
Socket: Medium base (E26/E27), bulb not included
Voltage: 110-120 V (US standard)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1085/9505/2869/files/1784194061_tmp_1784193977__suspension-rotin-fleur.webp?v=1793328429
